The Alzar School is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.  Our passionate, committed Board works tirelessly to ensure the Alzar School accomplishes its mission of educating young leaders.

  • Shauna Arnold

    Secretary

Shauna loves the outdoors, being involved in the community and her children’s activities, traveling, reading, and spending time on the Salmon River. Her daughter attended the 2013 Fall Semester at Alzar School, which inspired Shauna to continue her support of the great programming at the school.  She joined our Board of Directors in 2014, and she is incredibly active in the Cascade community, leading with the Cultural Arts Center, Horizons’ Lifestyle and Education Team, and 4 Summit Challenge.  She is a licensed massage therapist and obtained her B.A. from Trinity College and Theological Seminary.

Ken, an avid whitewater rafter, joined the Alzar School’s Board in October 2013 after serving on its Advisory Committee.  From 1998 to 2011, Ken was the principal of Boise High School, helping the school cement its reputation as one of the top academic schools in the country.    Ken also works with Idaho Rivers United to protect the rivers he loves.
