Student Introduction Video Transcript

Imagine yourself paddling down a crystal clear river, carving perfect turns down a powdery ski slope, and practicing your Spanish with a huaso (Chilean cowboy) in the Andes.

Now, imagine that this is school.

And it’s only the beginning.

The Alzar School offers full semester experiences for motivated students in their sophomore or junior year of high school. You can tackle all of your traditional academic classes while learning how to be an effective leader; joining students from around the globe as you work to develop your personal leadership style through outdoor adventure and cultural exchange. Of course, much of this is done alongside Mother Nature as the outdoors provides the ultimate classroom.

At the Alzar School you will participate in service projects, such as cleaning up the rivers we explore.

Then, using your leadership skills, develop and initiate a major project that you are passionate about. In addition, your excitement-filled semester is punctuated with an expedition to Chile where you will immerse yourself in Spanish, develop a global perspective, and see some of the world’s most spectacular places.

Independence. Confidence. Leadership.
