Current Campaigns

The Alzar School's many campaigns impact students worldwide by providing tuition assistance, scholarships, and more. Learn about these opportunities.

Annual Fund - DONATE NOW

The Alzar School's Annual Fund supports all students' experiences at the school.  Meeting our annual fund goals each year allows us to offer financial aid to students. You can help by donating to our annual fund online today! As a small school, your gift makes a huge impact and leaves a lasting legacy. Also, if you choose, your generosity will be recognized on our annual fund donor board. For other ways your support can be recognized, please check out our Named Giving Opportunities.

Challenge For Leaders 2018

Each year we ask a few of our key partners, alumni and staff to rally their friends, family, and networks to support our work of building teen leaders. By starting a personal Challenge for Leaders fundraiser for the Alzar School, they are helping future students gain the confidence and skills needed to positively influence their communities and lives.

Starting a fundraiser is easy and fun! We'll give you all the tools you'll need to make your fundraiser a success. With your support and efforts, we can ensure more Alzar School students return home as engaged citizens who positively impact the world. Please contact Anita if you are interested in starting a personal fundraiser in support of the Alzar School during the 2017/18.

Spring 2017 Semester Family Challenge

The Alzar School campus is growing! Thanks to our alumni, their families, foundations and local businesses we have raised $2.4 million of projected construction cost. Because of this generosity, we began construction last summer. With the support of our friends and families, we continue to raise the remaining $1 million needed to complete the Buildout.

To help finish the Campus Buildout, Spring 2017 alumni families are challenging themselves to collectively raise $175,000 to fund a new Patagonia Learning Center in the soon-to-be-built Headwaters Building.

 Vision for Growth & Sustainability

As the Alzar School grows, we will add facilities so we can reach even more high school students.  This growth will include more on campus student and faculty housing, additional classroom space, environmental sustainability efforts, and the expansion of our endowment fund.  See more at

Specific Scholarship Programs

We know that leaders come from all different socioeconomic backgrounds and work to make it possible for as many deserving teenagers to have the Alzar School experience.  There are several scholarship programs available to support.

Jean Bierle Scholarship Initiative

The Jean Bierle Scholarship Initiative fund empowers Chilean students to engage in leadership.  The Alzar School provides a rare opportunity for these students to gain confidence in both leadership and athleticism that would be difficult to find in Chile.

Valley County Young Leader Scholarship

The Valley County Young Leader Scholarship provides high school students from Valley County the chance to attend a semester at the Alzar School.  Each year, the Alzar School hosts the Valley County Scholarship Benefit to raise funds to support our local leaders.

Outstanding Young Leader Scholarship

The Outstanding Young Leader Scholarship provides tuition assistance to accepted students from around the country.  Additionally, we encourage applicants from Idaho to join us at the Alzar School.
