Hallie Holland

Hallie was born and raised in southern Idaho. She has travelled, hiked and camped all over the state, from the dense forests of the Panhandle to the granite peaks of the Sawtooth Mountains and the sage filled canyons of the Owyhee Desert. She attended University of Portland, where she graduated with honors with dual degrees in Spanish and Biology. During this time she participated in public health research at the Oregon Health & Science University and studied abroad in Spain. Upon completion of her degree, Hallie was a Teaching Fellow at Alzar School in the Fall of 2016. She has taught placed-based science courses for Ecology Project International and McCall Outdoor Science School. Hallie is a river guide and NOLS Instructor and loves to travel on water in rafts, kayaks and canoes. When she isn’t in the classroom, you can find her paddling, skiing, reading a book or playing with her dog, Nix. Hallie is excited to re-join the Alzar School community as the Capstone Leadership teacher! She can be reached by email hholland@alzarschool.org or phone +1(833) 862-5927 Ext. 716
