Lena Joesch-Cohen

Honors Physics

Lena grew up in Seattle, Washington where she developed her love of the outdoors going on hikes and backpacking trips in the North Cascades and Olympic Mountains. Lena attended Brown University, where she studied computational biology and spent inordinate amounts of time playing ultimate frisbee, finally co-captaining her team in her senior year. During her time in college, Lena also completed Remote/Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician training. After four years on the east coast, Lena is excited to return to the Pacific Northwest and is looking forward to learning alongside Alzar School students while expanding her love and knowledge of outdoor adventure to whitewater sports.
