Rachel hails from the southern shores of Lake Erie, where she romped and roamed until moving towards the Appalachian foothills in pursuit of higher education. She studied Integrated Science Education at Ohio University and began her career in education as a Science teacher in Colorado, where she explored the Rocky Mountain Front Range and High Rockies. Most recently, Rachel earned her Master of Science degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana. She enjoys pushing her physical limits in a variety of outdoor activities, including back-country snowboarding, mountain biking, trail running, climbing and kayaking. A persistent adventure seeker and globe trotter, Rachel is thrilled to join the Alzar School team and looks forward to exploring the Payette and Baker River valleys.
