how to apply for tuition assistance
Alzar School’s Tuition Assistance program is designed to make an Alzar School education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Alzar School utilizes the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.
To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit.
Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity Application, as the application requires you to upload additional tax documentation.
The deadline for completing the financial aid application including relevant supplemental documents is February 1, 2025.
If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.
Financial aid policies vary widely by school, so please understand that Alzar School’s policies may be different from your sending school. The following list details the policies that govern financial aid for our semester programs:
- Admission to Alzar School is based on merit and granted before considering financial need.
- All financial aid awards are based on need as determined by the Financial Aid Committee after reviewing information from the Blackbaud Financial Aid Management report.
- It is essential that applicants complete and file all application forms and required tax forms on time (by February 1st). Priority is given to families who apply by the deadline.
- All financial aid records are kept confidential. Only the Financial Aid Committee will have access to any financial aid information.
- In case of divorce or separation, each parent should complete individual applications. Neither parent will have access to information submitted by the other guardian.
- If either parent remarries, the financial information of the stepparent must be included.
- Applications are not considered complete until families have uploaded all required financial documentation.
You may begin an aid application at any time for an upcoming semester. Financial aid applications will still be considered after our February 1st deadline; however, priority will be given to those who meet the deadline. Once your application is complete and has been reviewed by our Financial Aid Committee, we will notify you of the outcome via email and update you with a revised enrollment timeline.

Clarity is able to accept international tuition assistance applications and will request specific international documentation for families based on their country. If you have any questions or need assistance completing the application as an international family, please contact admissions@alzar.org.
Families have utilized 529 plans for Alzar School tuition payments. We encourage you to reach out to your financial advisor or tax planner if you are planning to pull from a 529 Educational Savings plan.
We require both families to complete separate applications in order to have a full financial picture to make a fair assessment. If a parent remarries, we will require information of the stepparent in the application as well.
