New Intern this winter/spring

Alzar School | 25.10.11

Hello to all you readers out there in the world-wide web. My name is Eric Chandler and yes, as the title of this post would suggest, I am the new Alzar School intern this winter. I am working towards a BS in Adventure and Outdoor Programs at the University of Utah. This internship is my capstone to 3.5 years of studying wilderness leadership and outdoor education. I am an Idaho native, attended Boise High, and I am finally living in Boise again after 4 years on the road. I am excited to be on board with Sean and Kristin Bierle, and providing them an extra hand(or two) as they reshape Alzar School.

I will be keeping all you readers updated and informed about the happenings at Alzar School. Just in case you don’t already know, Alzar School has begun excavation up in Cascade with the goal of building a new school campus along the North Fork of the Payette River. This is just a tidbit at the moment, but don’t worry, your thirst for more information about Alzar School will soon be quenched in the posts to come.

**I also would like to quickly put my face to my name. The picture was taken after backpacking through the Sierra Madres, a mountain range along the Sea of Cortez in Baja California. I’m the dirty, smelly, happy guy furthest to the left.
