New video, Support coming in, and Training update

The Paddle for Leaders program is picking up steam!  Today, we just released a new video where I explain what the program is and why we are launching it.  Check it out:

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, support has continued to come in.  Over the past couple of weeks, we have focused on reaching out to local businesses, to provide items for our raffle and auction that will accompany the May 7th paddle journey.  Several have stepped forward in big way.  One aspect I’m particularly excited about is the Shore Lodge has welcomed us to have a launch party on May 6th, where supporters can come and enjoy drinks and appetizers, with proceeds going to our scholarship program (plus, they have donated a couple of packages to the auction!).  Several other businesses have pledged items and/or cash support.  Checkout our progress:

Plus, I’m psyched because I got to go on a great training paddle today on Lago Todos Los Santos.  I plugged into a couple of podcasts and gave the shoulders and abs a good workout.  With everything coming together, it is easy to motivate to hit the water.  Our time here in Chile is short, so I’m trying to soak up all I can before heading to the slightly more chilly Idaho to continue training.
